I guess 45 seconds is a normal startup time from pressing the power button till a desktop. In your case, is 45 secs the amount of time taken for your system to boot up from the beginning? Or is it the amount of time after grub? or gdm login screen?

No, its from i entered pass and pressed enter !

please install pybootchartgui and reboot your system twice, after that attach the latest .png file in /var/log/bootchart directory.

bootchart in my Ubuntu 9.10 is 23,01s, it is slow, isn't it?
