Empathy does not save any preferences, such as enable/disable spell checking, message log etc.

Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

Empathy stores account information, and works well, but won't save preferences at all. I think I can solve this myself, but it would be nice for beginners that everythnig works as it should.

Thanks for taking time to report this bug. Can you please check if the package 'libdconf0' is installed on your system? if its not installed, install it and then restart empathy and check if you still face the issue.

Package 'libdconf0' was not installed. I installed it, and now Empathy works as it should. When I checked from Synaptic, 'libdconf0' is marked as a recommended package by 'empathy'-package.
