Tote, cannot play a DVD which is playable in Canada

When I put a DVD which can be played on a standard DVD player which works in Canada. Th error is as follows "Totem cannot play this type of media DVD because it does not have the appropriate plugins to be able to read from this disc." I am using Ubuntu. The application is "Tetem Movie Player " The specific application "GStreamer " does not have, nor can Ubuntu find the correct plugin to enable the DVD Media to be properly played on my computer.

I trust that you will be able to fix the problem so that my computer will be able to play a DVD media which is playable in canada on a normal DVD player.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot. (Most people don't have a CD drive for a live CD plus a separate DVD drive, so I don't think Pedro's comment is fair in this case. Reopening.)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Toem and Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
