Bug Description

Ubuntu One is currently placing a emblem on top of the it's Launcher icon in certain circumstances. This capability needs to be removed, applications should not be able to place emblems on top of Launcher icons.

When was this API introduced, in maverick or natty?

Did ubuntu one already get fixed to not use the API any more? Are there any other known consumers?

Natty, no other known consumers, after some beta-only experimentation
it's not a feature we want.

    debian/libunity3.symbols => debian/libunity4.symbols

    - handle abi break and soname bump
    - replaces libunity3 for the gir file
