I removed the banshee folder (moving first banshee.db out). Then I opened banshee and it opened OK. I put the banshee.db back to the folder to recover it. Everything seems to work right now, so it seems it was some sort of incompatibility of the leftovers of the PPA installation and the banshee installed with 10.10.
