Dash is too much dark

Dash is very dark. It is not looking good with all those icons on plain black background. It should be much lighter color, closer to dark grey than black. You should try to use twice so dark color like outer frame of the dash is and blur it. It would look much better and polished.

Thanks for the report, but the dash styling is being led by the design
team, and the implementation is as spec'd for Natty. We'll certainly
revisit it, incorporating this feedback, in Oneiric.
