Judging from the errors in the log, I think this is Quassel issue 1051.
It should be possible to link this bug to http://bugs.quassel.info/issues/1051 . Launchpad says it should work, but doesn't do it.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. 10.10 reached end of life on April 10, 2012.
Please see this document for currently supported Kubuntu releases:
https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Releases

Unfortunately this means that there will be no more bugfixes for 10.10. It is also recommended that you upgrade, if you have not already.
