Double click on a JPG image on the desktop => opens Eye of GNOME 2.32.1
Click on edit image => opens shotwell.
Crop image in shotwell and close it.
Eye of GNOME says the image has been changed and asks to reload it (this works well).

The thumbnail on the desktop however does not get updated (and hitting F5 to refresh doesn't help).

Yep. Also after setting the image as a desktop background I see the original unedited image.
And it happens for me after cropping or mirroring.

Hmm, no the other bug is about rotation. Here the problem is for cropping, which I don't think is handled in EXIF.

Yeah, it's exactly that bug.
If I do the edits directly in shotwell, without opening eog it all works ok.
