Launcher Progress bars cut off when size is set to less than 40px

Some of us, who don't have giant screens (vertically and/or horizontally) want to make the unity sidebar/launcher smaller. Unfortunately, when setting the size to less than 40px, progress bars that are shown on Launchers are cut off.
