Asterisk in status not documented

Bug Description

When futzing with bzr status, I noticed a few of my files where turning up with asterisks at the ends of their names. After perusing the documentation, I was unable to turn up what it meant. Fortunately, #bzr was able to help (thanks, Robert).

It might be able to go into the Tutorial, but probably be best put in the FAQ, if only to flesh out the Permission Storage section.

DVC is a bzr front-end for emacs and fails badly when encountering files ending with asterisks in bzr status output.

If bzr continues to use the asterix to indicate this kind of change, I'm afraid that other command-line front-ends or even user scripts will also fail in the future.

Can we use another way to indicate this kind of changes ?

I'm a bit surprised DVC can't deal with it, ls -F does the same thing,
as do other tools. Is DVC fundamentally uncapable of dealing with these
indicators?
