Bug Description
Binary package hint: tzdata
After fresh installation of
Description: Ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS
Release: 10.04
I opened the ubuntu software center to install
the package 'Ubuntu restricted extras' (in fact, I wanted
to get the flash player to run in firefox).
After about 80 percent of the installation an error popped
up, stating that tzdata could not be installed. The error
messages pointed to uninitialized variables in Perl scripts
(that seemingly were used during the installation process).
I guess that the details can be found is the logs.
I am using the 64 bit version of ubuntu (AMD64).
I have got a brand new packard bell notebook (lm 94-sb-158 ge)
with a quad core amd phenom.
Hope this helps,
Thomas
