In GnoMenu preferences the shutdown command should be "gnome-session-save --shutdown-dialog" is this what you have?

I have "gnome-session-save --logout-dialog" ... seems like set up incorrectly by install. Can I provide you with some more information?

This worked for me. I am running Ubuntu 10.10. I went to the AUX arrow to the right of the shutdown button. That brings up the menu for the GnoMenu settings utility. From there you can go to the commands tab and select the text for the shutdown dialog and edit it by removing the text that says "logout" and replace it with "shutdown". The program will then have to restart and your shutdown should work properly. I hope that this helps newbies like myself.

I also managed to correct it like Mark described above. I just wanted to point out that it's incorrectly set by install.

Hello, I just installed Gnomenu again and the error is still there (by clean install): "logout" instead of "restart".
