Gimp crashes unexpectedly editing a large file with Tablet stylus

When I edit a large Image (mindmap with 3 transparent layers, A3, 300dpi) with Gimp using my tablet stylus it regularly but unpredictably crashes, producing such output

Prior to that, everything looks perfectly normal.
I save every 10 moves now..

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot.
