cp crashes on large file copy

Bug Description

i tried to cp a 5GB from an ext3 partition to a fat32 partition. It crashed after 4GB.

?The same? crash of cp occured to me. file: a 3725328384 byte iso-image, copied onto udffs 1.5 (DVD-RAM)
it crashed twice, each time at 1073741824 bytes written.

Same here, copied 22GB file to a fat32 partition and cp crashed at 4GB.

Im on Ubuntu 6.10, Edgy eft. Fully updated.

cp 8Gib to fat32
