indicator-datetime 0.1.98-0ubuntu1, Ubuntu Natty
1. From the clock menu, choose "Time & Date Settings..." > "Clock".
What you see: A checkbox labelled "Date and time".
What you should see: A checkbox labelled "Date and month".

FWIW, what I actually see:
HH:MM -> Add Appointment
What happens: Evolution loads
HH:MM -> Time & Date Settings... -> ...
What happens: (nothing happens, no visible feedback)
Expected: something exciting happens.
