Bug Description

Binary package hint: gpointing-device-settings

I bough an HP G72-259WM a month ago and everything works great with Ubuntu 10.10....except I disabled tapping on the touchpad after being frustrated with my palms clicking everything in sight when i type. I've downloaded "pointing devices" a while ago to aid with the sensitivity of the touchpad. It helped but once again I was typing with non-stop palm clicking and had enough and disabled tapping. Now "pointing devices" wont even load. Is there any way to change these setting in the terminal or get "pointing devices" to load again? (p.s. once you loose tapping you really miss it!)

Sorry that we couldn't fix your problem properly, but gpointing-device-settings is dead upstream, buggy and completely unmaintained.
