UI doesn't refresh after a dent

Running Pony 0.4.3 on CyanogenMod 7 (Android 2.3) on a Nexus One.

After I send a dent, the text stays in the textbox and the list of dents above doesn't refresh. This could lead a user to thinking the dent was never actually send which it is.

There are a couple of issues here. Firstly, the list of dents *is* refreshed after denting, but it sometimes takes identi.ca a while get the new dent into the correct timeline. I just tested it and and while the dents I sent appeared quickly in gwibber on my laptop (ie: in my timeline), the last of them has not yet appeared in the relevent tag timeline several minutes later. It is just the same for the group timelines. I could add a slight delay before refreshing the list, but that may look worse, slow and laggy.

The other issue is of the textbox not being cleared. This is not something I can replicate. When I send a dent, a popup appears to say "sending dent, please wait", the textbox is then reset to the default text. The only time the text should be retained is if you try to send the dent and have not set up your credentials. Then when you return from setting them up, your dent should be still present to dent. Do you have to delete the sent dent to dent again? or does it clear eventually?

The second issue is fixed for me now, I can't reproduce it anymore. The textbox now gets emptied.

On the first issue: I understand this might be identi.ca (which is pretty slow ATM, so maybe it will fix itself in time) but currently my timeline definitely doesn't get refreshed in a reasonable time. I will keep an eye on this. I agree that if this is identi.ca's fault, we shouldn't do anything in Pony.
