Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Ubuntu 10.10 +64
compiz-1:0.8.6-0ubuntu9.1
libgtk2.0-0-2.22.0-0ubuntu1

The keyboard shortcut for taking a screenshot doesn't work while the menu of an application is open.
Running gnome-screenshot works fine, only the keyboard shortcut is disabled.
The attached screenshot was taken using the gnome-screenshot command from terminal, and show a state in which the shortcut doesn't work.

I guess it's some gtk/gnome issue.

I've just tried some Compiz shortcuts and those don't work either:
- Zooming (Win/Meta + mouse scroll)
- Desktop Switching (Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right Arrow)
- the thing when you see all your desktops, whatever it's called (Win/Meta+E)

So it seems to me the problem (if it's a problem and not a feature :)) would be in Compiz.

affects: evolution (Ubuntu) → compiz (Ubuntu)

this is not an issue in compiz, also this problem have been there for more than 8-years and is one of the limitations of X11.

Changed in compiz (Ubuntu):
