Bug Description

Binary package hint: banshee

Banshee does not show my iPod Nano (or Philips GoGear or Archos 104) although it has been successfully detected and mounted by the os itself. There is no problem with Banshee 1.9.5 from the PPA in Lucid, it shows the sync button and according functions.

Add-Ins for Apple Devices, MTP and Mass Storage Devices are active. Both Philips and Archos had been used with MTP and Mass-Storage-Support.

Sorry about that. This is a known issue, and a fix has been committed. Please
wait a little longer -- release is on Wednesday, and the fix shall be uploaded then.

I'm still having this issue with my ipod touch and n900. Any word when the fix will go through? Will the fix make it into the final natty release?

My Nokia C5 (connected as an MTP device) is not recognized in banshee-1.9.6-1ubuntu1

In Rhythmbox is doesn't work as well, while it did work fine in Rhythmbox on Maverick. This is a giant shortcoming for me, since I use my pc ofter to transfer music.

Using 64bit version

That sounds like a libmtp bug. Could you file a new bug against that package,
and include the USB ID of your Nokia C5 (from the output of lsusb) in the bug
report?

Now, I have Banshee 2.0.0, and it does not recognise any of my devices. However, Ubuntu does mount it. Thoughts? Did the fixes in version 1.9.6-1ubuntu1 not make it into 2.0.0?
