glxinfo crash

glxinfo crashed when i ran beryl-manager for the first time i'm running ubuntu 6.10 i386 and a navada card thank you

How do you mean glxinfo crashd, did glxinfo crash beryl or the other way around?

Hi, so far your bug is not reproducible. Could you copy the output of 'glxinfo' that indicates the crash (Or all of it!).

i was able to reproduce it. i was following the http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Edgy_Installation_Guide and when i did a $ fglrxinfo it stated direct rendering was disabled. grrr.

so the next step is to create a sym link
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/dri /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/

then i ran $ fglrxinfo again an crash

I ran into the same problem described above, crash is included.

I had a similar problem. Starting Beryl after installing nvidia legacy seemed to cause it.

I experienced the same crash under the same circumstances; fresh install of Ubuntu 6.10, installed NVIDIA legacy driver for x86 processors version 1.0.7184; running an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ CPU with a Geforce 3 Ti500 graphics card. Crash occurred when attempting to start Beryl.
