Bug Description

Binary package hint: xorg

Basically, text in Ubuntu tends not to draw quite right. Please see the attached screenshot (desktop1.png) for a visual.

I've noticed this happening in Ubuntu, Thunderbird, and Eclipse (the main 3 programs I use).

1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu
11.04

2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy pkgname' or by checking in Software Center
xorg

3) What you expected to happen
The text to printer properly/legibly.

4) What happened instead
The text does not always display properly.

It looks more like some font problem. I had same issue on my netbook, but i can't reproduce it now, may be because of installed windows fonts (dependency for wine)

Hi Jarrett, on a couple other bugs they've noticed corruption issues went away after the latest xserver fix (which reverted a patch that affects how menus are redrawn). One of the bugs involved a text corruption issue, so I wanted to doublecheck with you if you're still seeing this bug with the latest natty updates?
