Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

I recently updated to latest unity/compiz and after that I am unable to insert a CD in my computer without compiz crasching in libunityshell. Confirmed on two different computers running Intel and Nvidia-graphics respectively. And apport didn't detect the crash either so I had to do a Ctrl+Alt+F1 to get back on track. It appears to crash just as the CD-icon is supposed to show in the Launcher. It pops up on Desktop just before the crash in compiz.

Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate an useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

libc6-dbg: installed version 2.13-0ubuntu6, latest version: 2.13-0ubuntu7
libdb4.8-dbg: installed version 4.8.30-5ubuntu1, latest version: 4.8.30-5ubuntu2

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

As of today, with all updates installed, I do not have any problems with compiz crasching when inserting a CD. We can close this one. Thank you, guys! :)
