Bug Description
whenever I successfully start adept_manager via kdesu I get an 'authentication error' from auth.log
Nov 28 19:57:52 localhost sudo: dave : TTY=pts/7 ; PWD=/home/dave ; USER=root ; COMMAND=
Nov 28 19:57:53 localhost sudo: dave : TTY=pts/7 ; PWD=/home/dave ; USER=root ; COMMAND=
Nov 28 19:57:55 localhost sudo: (pam_unix) authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=pts/6 ruser= rhost= user=dave
Would not have noticed it but logcheck keeps flagging it and its too important a potential error to tell it to ignore !
Cheers
Dave

I get exactly the same log entry. The authentication dialogue box comes up, I type in my password, click okay, the adept window pops up and adept crashes (just after the status bar in adept_manager says "Building state information").
kdesu -c adept_manager
gives output
kbuildsycoca running... :PkgSystem: :PkgSystem( )
kapture:
and in auth.log:
