Subject: libgnomevfs2-common: Fails to install

Package: libgnomevfs2-common
Version: 2.6.1.1-6
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

While updating I get this error:

Setting up libgnomevfs2-common (2.6.1.1-6) ...
/var/lib/dpkg/info/libgnomevfs2-common.postinst: line 7: 16546
Segmentation fault HOME=/root GCONF_CONFIG_SOURCE=`gconftool-2
--get-default-source` gconftool-2 --makefile-install-rule
$SCHEMA_LOCATION/$SCHEMA >/dev/null
dpkg: error processing libgnomevfs2-common (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 139

this leaves unconfigured many other gnome packages

Hello,

I get the feeling that all these issues may be related to #264363, which was
a segfault of gconftool-2 which caused random crashes in other package's
postinst. I'm rather sure of that, indeed.

Could you guys please try again the installation which failed for you last
time and tell us if installing gconf2 2.6.3-2 before the operation helps or
not?

Thanks for your time, Mt.
