Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Following upgrade to Natty.
Loading Ubuntu Classic Desktop works fine (with some graphical errors)
Loading Ubuntu Desktop Edition shows only the desktop background and shortcuts but no top or side panel. Ubuntu Desktop Edition safe mode did not work either.

Worked at some point in Maverick, not since update.
I have tried logging in a number of times using Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to return to GDM, is that what you mean?

leighman , can you please download the Natty Beta-1 ISO, write it on a cd or a flash drive and boot from it and see if unity works in the live environment for you.
