Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, we are not able to fix and find the bug because your description of the bug didn't have enough information in it. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively",
        http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html.
We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

Debugging procedures for certain types of problems can be found at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

1) When does the segfault occur?/What causes the segfault to occur?
2) Is it reproducible 100% of the time?

In edgy, all packages have debug symbols enabled so you do not need to download that special package. If you could attach a full backtrace (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Backtrace), that would be great. The segfault may have also generated a log file, please attach that too.

I get segfault when starting mousepad in Xubuntu Dapper nowdays. It used to work in Dapper before. Should I file a separate bug report? How could you find the log generated by segfault?

I could fix the problem in Dapper by deleting ~/.config/mousepad/mousepadrc
