Bug Description
I am requesting a freeze exception to upgrade the os-prober from 1.42 to 1.44 in Natty. Ubuntu does not have any patches from the Debian upstream. The attached debdiff is a relatively small bugfix and will enable better support for Haiku & Gentoo dual-booters.
Original bug description:
Grub2 OS prober only finds kernels named
vmlinu[xz].*
Kernels named differently are not written to /boot/grub/grub.cfg
Some distros provide instructions to name kernels differently, Eg. Gentoo "kernel-...."
http://
Ubuntu's Grub2 install does not detect these kernels unless renamed
