Bug Description
If I start openshot with my default locale, the Transitions and Effects tabs are empty. To reproduce, try:
$ LC_CTYPE=
If I change LC_CTYPE to, say, C or en_GB.UTF-8 the transitions and effects are shown in the tabs as expected.
I am using openshot 1.3.0-1 from Debian unstable, installed via apt-get.

I can confirm this. I was reaaaally wondering why the Transitions ans Effects tab were empty on my Ubuntu 10.10 machine. "de_CH. utf8" "de_CH. utf8"
My locale are:
LANG=de_CH.utf8
LANGUAGE=en
LC_CTYPE=
LC_NUMERIC=
LC_TIME=de_CH.UTF-8

If I start openshot with bugs.debian. org/cgi- bin/bugreport. cgi?bug= 585400 )
LC_ALL=C openshot
everything works fine! This bug should be well known, as someone gives even the explanation in the Debian bug tracker (Debian Bug#585400, http://
