Bug Description

Binary package hint: software-center

When I was installing recent updates to Natty Alpha 3, I watched the "details" when it was configuring the Software Center. There was a report that /usr/share/app-install/desktop/gnome-do.desktop was unreadable.

I believe this is because it contains a comment in Russian (I presume) without a leading "comment[ru]=" tag.

The text in the details asked that this be reported as a bug.

Description: Ubuntu Natty (development branch)
Release: 11.04

It looks like this is the patch to Software Center…no, I guess not—I'd hoped it patched the segmentation fault caused by the TLS problem: apparently not.

Software Center 3.1.23.2
