Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity

Unity crashed on startup on my ATI machine I started up in safe mode and did a unity --reset and got the output attached. Unity did work before with the open source drivers but I installed flgrx and it failed to install so I removed it and unity didnt work after that. I dont know if it was after installing flgrx or updating unity that did the damage though.

Can you check and see which drivers are actually in use? You may have some weird library mismatches from the failed fglrx install. Are you seeing weirdness with compiz in a gnome 2 session?
