nautilus not starting

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

clicking the File Manager icon won't load up nautilus, or it will after a long time and even then will be non functioning.
can invoke nautilus in terminal only by running sudo nautilus. typing just nautilus will just stand idle.
