gadugadu contacts do not appear in my contact list

When I sign in with my GaduGadu account, no contact is shown. Neither online or offline contacts. Empathy shows contacts with other chat system, ie MSN

yeah i have this issue too.
empathy is useless for me right now...

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the stable release - Oneiric Ocelot. It is possible for GG contacts to see me and send me a message, but nothing related to them nor GG appears in my contact list.

Also, such messages appear with only their GG number, not with their name or alias.

The same on 11.10. It's a shame that developers don't know that gadugadu network is the most popular network in Poland and by this bug they are eliminating a large polish community from using Ubuntu.

I have the same problem in 12.04 with telepathy-sunshine 0.1.8 or 0.2.0.
I see in the plugin config file (profile.xml) and the debugging window that the contacts were imported from the server. I can also receive messages from gadu gadu contacts, even read and reply; the contact name also appears correctly.

However, in the contacts list not a single gadugadu contact is displayed, even though contacts from other protocols appear.

Sorry but this bug causes the plugin to be basically unusable, and yet the priority for this bug is Low??

On Ubuntu 14.04.1 this bug still persists. I've installed account-plugin-gadugadu to be able to add Gadu-Gadu account into "Network Accounts" but after succesfull connection I can't see any of my Gadu-Gadu contacts. I can still communicate with them (if someone writes to me I can reply) but even then they are shown as Gadu-Gadu numbers, not aliases.
