After tonight's updates, which included compiz and unity packages, I restarted and compiz refused to launch after login. Lost keyboard input as well.
Switch to tty1 and restarted GDM, compiz launched properly.

This is Natty Aplha 3. Tried to run live on 4 machines:

Dell Dimension 3000, P4, 1 GB RAM, Intel 82865G Video: Hard error during boot from CD: Power Sw to recover.

IBM ThinkCentre, P4 1.5 GB RAM, Intel 82865G Video: Boot from CD to purple screen, dialog that Compiz failed and not enough memory to report problem. unable to get GUI, trued Ctrl-ALT-F1 but when I removed CD, started scrolling errors and had to use power switch.

Homebuilt Core2 Duo, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia 8800 Video: Boot from CD to strangely organized Gnome GUI, never saw anything about Compiz.

ZT Systems, Corei7, 8 GB RAM, AMD High End ???? Video: Boot from CD to purple screen, dialog that Compiz failed and I was able to report the problem. This is the added information for Launchpad bugs. Although it brought up the browser, there is no other GUI stuff on the screen. No unity, gnome, panels, menus or anything.
