This seems to not occur 100% of the time and you can get around it by just quitting kmail and restarting it. Also, kwallet reports that an application has been trying to access it without success. No other application that uses kwallet seems to have this issue.

Can confirm this one - after upgrade of Kubuntu from Maverick to Natty.

KMail fails to fetch passwords from KWallet, KWallet reports that an application is 'misbehaving'.

Tried deleting the KMail and mail account folders from KWallet - KMail did recreate them but still fails to retrieve passwords once entered.

Thought I'd mention I am having this problem as well on Fedora 15, so it's NOT just an Ubuntu problem. The work-around doesn't look like it will work for me as my accounts already exist in KWallet.
