Opening hyperlinks from other applications is inconsistent

When I open a hyperlink from an application that isn't the browser, it opens the browser in the background instead of giving it focus. Natty Alpha 3. If the browser was previously open it does this, if the browser was closed the browser gets focus.

What is inconsistent about this? This sounds very consistent. Do you mean it's inconsistent with previous releases? Or have you left out a part, where it's not always doing this? Please elaborate.

What browser are you using? This isn't what happens for me. Chrome pops to the front when I click a link from Thunderbird whether it's running or not.

Anyway this is a compiz focus prevention issue, so you may be able to tweak compiz to your liking.
