Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-utils

On a Natty i386 system with gnome-screenshot 2.32.0-0ubuntu3, screenshots, including full-screen screenshots, usually work properly. However, in one instance, the "Take Screenshot" title bar appeared in a full-screen screenshot. This was taken with no delay, but screenshots taken with no delay typically do not show any part of the Take Screenshot window. The bad screenshot is attached. (The bad screenshot was produced when reporting bug 730581--which I have since marked as a duplicate of bug 716714--and the error message dialog boxes in the bad screenshot are *not* related to *this* bug, except that they're what I was taking a screenshot of. The attached bad screenshot can be compared to the good version taken shortly thereafter and attached to bug 730581: http://launchpadlibrarian.net/65789145/Screenshot.png)

In case information about desktop rendering is relevant here: This is a virtual machine, virtualized by VMware Workstation 7.1.3 build-324285. The *host* machine running VMware is a Maverick amd64 system with kernel version 2.6.35-28-generic. The guest machine does not have graphics acceleration, so while the session type selected in GDM on login is "Ubuntu Desktop Edition", this is a classic desktop, and *not* Unity. The guest machine, in which this bug occurred, has 1 GB of RAM, has VMware Tools 8.4.5-324285 installed (these are the guest drivers not provided through Ubuntu packages), and is running xorg/xserver-xorg 1:7.6~3ubuntu11, xserver-xorg-core/xserver-common 2:1.9.99.902-2ubuntu1, xserver-xorg-video-vmware 1:11.0.3-1ubuntu2 and xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse 1:12.6.99.901-1ubuntu2.

Unfortunately I have not been able to reproduce this bug so far, even on the same machine.

Can this be marked as a duplicate of the original bug report? (I'd do it, but you have not specified what bug this is a duplicate of.)

@Sebastien
This bug (or more precisely, whatever bug it duplicates) is now a side issue in a Launchpad question I've been helping someone with. Can you please indicate the bug that this duplicates?

it could, the issue is that the number of triager is limited and searching for numbers is work than can be spent also on fixing the issues, the specific bug for this one is bug #93234
