Bug Description

NOTE: When I search for opera in Ubuntu it shows up, yet here I'm warned that opera doesn't exist in Ubuntu. I'm submitting this with the understanding that it's meant to be supported.

While watching Youtube movies with the Opera browser, all of a sudden I hear a BEEP, and then sound is off.

This is in Kubuntu. I can only get the sound by back by logging out and in again.

I tried sudo killall esd and artds, no change. I need to logout.

I don't have this issue with Firefox 2.0.

I tried re-installing opera, no change. total remove, and new installation of the app, no change.

apt-get remove and then use automatix2 to install it, no change.

I changed it to flash-plugin, as I assume the issue has something to do with flash and sound in KDE

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed in the latest development version of Ubuntu - the Gutsy Gibbon, and the latest stable version - the Feisty Fawn. It won't be fixed in previous versions of Ubuntu because the bug doesn't fit requirements for backporting. See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports for more information.
