Side panel is blank if no "junk" in home directory

Bug Description
If the user has no unexpected files in their home directory (hence the "junk" heading is not displayed), the side panel is completely blank. This is strange as it only displays generic information about the user's home directory, which is still valid even if there is no junk there.
