[6.0.1] Log location givven incorrectly on Windows 7

When the client ends a session where you got an error message, you get a message box "See the logfile C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenERP 6.0\openerp-client.exe.log", though the log is stored in C:\Users\username\openerp-client.log.

2nd, I think C:\Users\username is not appropriate.
Windows convention would be to use a subdirectory OpenERP (or OpenERP 6.0\Client) in $APPDATA.

APPDATA=C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming (could be Local or LocalLow, I don't know where that depends on)

Bydefault Logfile in openerp is created in the USER PROFILE i.e the path C:\Users\username . If you want to change the path you can specify in the .openerprc file.

Secondly the log file in " C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenERP 6.0\openerp-client.exe.log" is created only when there is a problem in any installed package and py2exe creates this log file. for more info refer:http://www.py2exe.org/index.cgi/StderrLog

but yes we can improve this to change the py2exe 's default behavior .

The logfile in the program files folder will most likely never be created on Vista or 7, because the user normally doesn't have rights to write into that folder, and the OpenERP client doesn't invoke UAC.

So changing py2exes behaviour is not only recommendable, but neccessary, if anyone wants to see the logfile at all.

Just over a year now since bug has been raised against version 6.0 and a patch posted but I dont see a commit placed against 6.0.4 stable.

Have I missed something ?
