Hi,

Debian has it, but it FTBFS in Ubuntu with the same errors as 3.0 (see bug 755950), so the update won't happen until the compilation error is fixed.

The FTBFS bug was fixed. Here is the version history which appears to be mostly bugfixes: http://www.sweethome3d.com/history.jsp

Please note that for 11.10, we're past FeatureFreeze [1]. So this would need an exception as detailed in the wiki.
