Bug Description

Binary package hint: casper

This is a very minor thing but still thought I should report it. I'm iso-testing the "daily-live/20110302/natty-desktop-i386.iso" image and selecting "Check CD for defects" never completes. The CD just stops, no hard drive activity, and the "splash" dots continue to run across the screen infinitely. I allowed this to run for over 20 minutes at one point while I was busy with something else and it just never progresses beyond that.

As I said, it's a very minor thing, I just rebooted and checked the CD using the md5sum.txt from the downloaded iso and it was fine. I'm a stickler on checking CD integrity before testing just so I know my results are valid.

Otherwise the live session performed acceptably IMHO for Alpha 3.

Thanks for your report.

I tried successfully with Ubuntu Desktop Beta1. Is it still an issue for you ?

It has worked fine in all four of the pre-beta iso-testing i386 images.

Should this be marked invalid now, or fix released?
