Bug Description
Binary package hint: transmageddon
When I transcode a video (I tried an avi and wmv) it says "Estimated remaining time: 0:00" and it only changes when complete to say "Done Transcoding". It also doesn't move the progress bar, giving you no indication as to how much is done and what is left. The output videos work fine, just bothersome to not have any idea as to when transcoding will finish, if at all.

Bug #847764 is saying that transcoding doesn't even work. This bug (#727431) says that transcoding works, but no progress is shown until it is done, at which point knowing the progress is useless. Seems like someone got a little jumpy on the "Mark as Duplicate" link.
