Bug Description

In order to facilitate gapless playback (and also annoying tracks with 10 seconds of nothing at the end), Beatbox should automatically trim intros and outros with no output.

The problem with this as I see it is that some artists include gaps in their music for artistic reasons (Depeche Mode comes to mind). Better to leave it alone and allow for user adjustments.

Yes this does not seem like a good idea, as Tobin said.

However, gapless playback will be implemented.

I'm going to agree with Tobin on this one; it should *not* do it, at least not by default. I think a better solution (for a user) would be to make sure their song files themselves are trimmed, and that's outside the scope of a music player.
