Installed desktopcouch to enables services: confusing error and no functionality (need workflow improvement)

Using the Ubuntu One Control Center I saw a Services tab and assumed I could use it to enable syncing of contacts, tomboy notes etc.

When I clicked on the Services tab it informed me I needed to install desktopcouch, I clicked the install button and it installed fine, but then I see a red message saying:

"There is no Ubuntu One pairing record"

I have no idea what this means, and I see no additional functionality having installed desktopcouch, and I have no idea how to enable the services such as contacts and tomboy note syncing.

I just clicked away from the Services tab and re-clicked it and I now see a series of packages I can install to enable bookmarks and contact syncing. It seems the bug is that the tab page should have been updated after the desktopcouch package was installed.

The root cause for the "pairing" error is bug #726597.

However, we will change the workflow to this:

1) Show the full list of services the user can enable (file sync, contacts, etc)
2) If the user clicks to enable one of the services, explain that we need to download extra software and do so (including desktopcouch)

This may cause a small glitch for users that had a service enabled on maverick and upgraded to natty, but that's a corner case and is not worth keeping a confusing workflow.

We are not supporting desktopcouch anymore, and are pushing u1db instead. Also, our current codebase doesn't have any of this, so marking as invalid.
