I am not able to open PDF files in it

Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

Whenever I try to open a pdf file in it, It show the Error:"Unable to open document,File type plain text document (text/plain) is not supported" message.. What can be done in this case.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This particular bug has already been reported and is a duplicate of bug 444962, so it is being marked as such. This bug has been fixed quite a while ago, please enable the "recommended updates" in the software sources to get the necessary update:
