Bug Description

When I look for a word that doesn't exist ('t was a typo :p), the Purple window stops responding and I have to kill it.

Can you post the specific query that caused Purple to hang? Purple should never do that; it knows to return a no results message if there are no results. Also, make sure you're running the latest version of purple.

I'm using version 11.02.1 from the PPA. It hangs on any non-existent word. E.g. "fdsa".

I don't see how that's possible. I just tried that exact query, fdsa, on my own version of purple (the same), and it displayed this: http://i.imgur.com/kPocG.png

No, sorry, I never got that. I've tried waiting for up to 10 minutes; the window remains unresponsive.

Is there any other info I could give you to shed a light on this?

I get the same unresponsive window when I put in non-existent words -- I didn't even know there was a "not found" screen. Also using 11.02.1.

This is my result: http://imgur.com/LMltF

This is really really strange. I'm seeing no issues on my end. I'm working on updating the API wrapper, and will push out another version very soon; hopefully it will resolve these issues. Otherwise, can you run purple from terminal and pastebin the output, if any? Thanks :)

This is all from start-up though. There is no output once the window freezes.

Seems to be fixed in 11.03.2.

Fantastic! Still really don't know what caused it, but I'll mark as resolved. Thanks for following up. :)
