VLC fullscreen controller volume control not transparent in Mint 10 KDE

I'm using Mint 10 KDE final 64bit, though the user who made the above screenshot says they're using Mint 10 KDE RC 32bit. I'm using the proprietary nVidia graphics driver on an eVGA GeForce 9800GT with an Intel Core2Quad Q6600 and 6GB RAM. To recreate this problem, play a video in VLC and double-click the video to go into fullscreen mode.

Update 1: the bug may be related to the Oxygen widget style. I can set VLC to force a different widget style from the VLC preferences, and it does force that widget style on VLC, but the fullscreen controller is still transparent. On the other hand I can change the system-wide widget style in the KDE system settings, and the bug goes away if any other widget style is chosen besides Oxygen. Oddly enough, if you then force VLC to use the Oxygen widget style, the bug comes back.

Also, Mint 10 comes with VLC 1.1.5; I tried building VLC 1.1.7 and the bug is still there.

Hey R. David!

Thanks for reporting this bug! Looks to be a glitch in the Oxygen theme indeed, since as you claim it is present only in Oxygen and not other themes. This would be part of the Oxygen maintainers group to sort out, unless it can be shown to be a larger issue with the distro.
