Could you attach a sample SVG file that fails to be saved as PDF to allow further investigation?

Hi Guys!!! Thank you for your support, of course I can attach the SVG file that
causes Inkscape to crash, when trying to save it as pdf.

Thanks Again.

I haven't further investigated, but is seems likely to me that the filter effects used (apparently repeatedly applied i.e. merged 'Dots transparency' predefined effects) could be optimized so that only one effect with modified parameters would be applied to the parent group of the 'rubber stamp' on each of the documents.

Alternatively, or as workaround, consider making a bitmap copy of the stamps ('Edit > Make a Bitmap Copy') and hiding the original, filtered objects on a separate layer for export to PDF (works without crash, see attached PDF file exported with r10067, using cairo 1.10.2).

Cairo [1] is mainly used for PDF/PS/EPS export since Inkscape 0.47 [2], and for rendering 'View > Display mode > Outline' on-canvas. Inkscape 0.49 will switch the internal renderer for the canvas and for bitmap export to cairo as well (based on a GSoC project from 2010). On Windows and Mac OS X, the cairo libraries are bundled with Inkscape, on linux the shared libraries installed with the system are used by Inkscape.
Some of the reported problems when exporting to PDF vary depending on the version of cairo and the platform used (or even are a bug in cairo, not in Inkscape's code), so I usually make a note what was used to confirm a problem (mainly because I have several inkscape builds installed, some of the using different cairo versions).

Because I have a trouble to save as .pdf and .eps. I have a poster presentation two weeks later I plot some figure with the inkscape but I cannot get output.

1) I load textext extension for some equations.
2) I have some figures below the equations and thats all but I cannot get output.

I have read the forum but there is only clear solution for ubuntu not for windows 7,8

Any help appreciated.

best

Testing the attached large svg file on trunk inkscape shows the problem is gone. Saving as PDF works on a 2GB RAM Celeron laptop (quick quickly too). Marking as Fixed.
