gtk hid stops responding for user input

Bug Description
Steps to reproduce:
1) launch gtk hid
2) start typing a command by entering colon
3) move mouse cursor over deactivated command icons
4) scroll the mouse wheel or press mouse button
5) move mouse cursor to working area
6) scroll the mouse wheel
No more characters can be then typed into the command window, ESC key does not work effectively locking the application up.
