gaim was crashing, after about 2 1/2 mb of my filetransfer in icq

Thanks for your bug. Upstream seems to have some bugs matching the backtrace, they have closed them without any indication of fix though and that's not new, not sure if they consider that as not a gaim bug, gaim is crashing it should not, marking the task as confirmed

It looks like this crash is from Gaim 2.0.0 beta 3.1? The AIM and ICQ file transfer stuff should work much better in Gaim 2.0.0 beta 4 and newer. In any case, the code is sufficiently different that this backtrace no longer applies.

miiep: If you have a chance I'd love to know if you have better success using Gaim 2.0.0 beta 4 or beta 5 (it looks like beta 5 is in Feisty now, right?)

this beta 5 version, doesn't have this bug and looks a bit better

(i've testet to send a file, and it doesn't crash anymore.)
